What is the PT Cheer Festival?
The PT Cheer Festival is a cheerleading event designed to
prepare your teams for
their upcoming competition season. Each team will warm-up
and exhibition
for a crowd in a competition-style format. A panel of judges
representing
different competitions’ scoring systems will judge the
performance based on that
score sheet (ie – one judge may use a CheerSport score
sheet, while another judge may use an NCA score sheet). We
will have judges representing most of the major
competition companies. These score sheets will be returned
to the coach, so that you will know how your routine should
score on each scoring system!
Is it a competition?
No, the PT Cheer Festival is a non-competitive event – NO
PRESSURE! It merely gives your team the opportunity to
perform in front of a large crowd in a competition-style
format and be judged according to different scoring systems.
No scores will be announced or publicized – they are just to
help you before you spend big bucks on competition fees. The
score sheets are for each team’s coach’s use, at their
discretion. (For all stars and school squads!)
What does it cost?
It’s FREE!!! The PT Cheer Festival does not charge a
competitor fee. All competitors and coaches also receive
free admission. *There is a $10/person spectator fee – or
$5/person with a canned good to donate to our food drive!!
Children 5yrs old and younger are Free!
Who will be judging?
Last year, the PT Cheer Festival had a judge representing
the CheerSport, Athletic
Championships, and Jamfest scoring systems. We hope to
represent those again and expand to include some of the
following: UCA, NCA, CheerNation, WSF, American
Championships, and the Cheerleading Worlds. Each judge will
evaluate your team’s routine based on the score sheet of a
competition they have judged/will judge, so that you know
they are familiar with their score sheet (ie – the judge
using the CheerSport score sheet actually has judged/will
judge for CheerSport!!!).
Festival schedule
The Prime Tyme Cheer Festival will run in a
competition-style format. There will be two full size
floors, one spring for the performance area and one
foam-bonded carpet in a separate gym for the warm up area.
Each team will have a designated warm up time which will be
a total of 20 minutes, including five minutes on the
full-sized floor. A CD player will be provided for use on
the warm up floor. Teams will perform on a 42’x54’ spring
floor in front of the crowd and judges on five minute
intervals. A CD player will be provided for use on the
exhibition floor. Please bring at least two CDs of your
team’s music. A representative from each team will be
responsible for playing the team’s music. Score sheets will
be returned to the coaches in the coach’s hospitality room
throughout the day. Video and photography allowed – please
no flash for the safety of the performers. A detailed
schedule will be available at least one week before the
festival. Coaches will need to download medical release
forms for each athlete from our website!
College Cheerleading
The Cheerleaders of Middle Tennessee State University and
potentially other area collegiate cheerleaders will
exhibition throughout the day! There will be “Meet and
Greet” times for your cheerleaders and their parents to meet
the coaches of those collegiate teams, including MTSU and
hopefully other surrounding colleges! What a great
opportunity to pursue your cheerleading career into college!
Everything else!
Not only will the Prime Tyme Cheer Festival offer your
team(s) a chance to perform for free, we have so many other
things in store for you as well!
*Concessions for sale in the concession stand. All proceeds
go to benefit Pope John Paul II High School’s cheerleaders.
*All canned food items collected at the door go to benefit
the 2nd Harvest Food Bank!
*T-shirts including your team’s name will be for sale at the
PT Pro Shop booth!
*A printed schedule including your team’s name, tumbling
time, warm-up time, and
performance time will be available at the door!
*There will be vendor booths with products and information
available for your cheerleaders, family, and friends.
*The PT Cheer Festival will also host a silent auction
throughout the day. All proceeds go to benefit the Prime
Tyme All-stars and PT Allstars College Scholarship Fund!
*Coach’s Hospitality with snacks and beverages will be
available all day!!
*A detailed schedule will be available at least one week
before the festival. Coaches will also need to download
medical release forms from our website for each of your
athletes.

PT Cheer Festival Requires
a Medical Release Form For Each Participant.
Please turn in all
Medical Release Forms together, organized by team with a
Team Roster. No team will be able to participate without
turning in completed Medical Release Forms and a Team Roster
Form. These forms need to be turned in September 20th,
2008 at the Registration Table located next to the Warm-Up
Room.
